Blanche Butram “Pete” Cox, 94, of Bowling Green, died March 31, 2013, at Greenview Regional Hospital.

Pete, an Edmonson County native, was born Sept. 17, 1918. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Frank Butram and Lou Hogan Butram; her husband, Lennie V. “Perk” Cox; two brothers, Hubert Buttram and Almon Butram; and three sisters, Alma Hatler, Grace Hunt and Iva Tarter.

She is survived by her nieces and caregivers, Nancy Tarter Huffman, Inga Wolff and her great-niece and caregiver, Krista Lou Williams (Mike). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was an exceptional homemaker and retired employee of Carter-Wallace in Hightstown, N.J. She was a member of Dripping Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Edmonson County.

Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. today at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane chapel with a celebration of life at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cave City Cemetery.
