Robert Norman Adams IV, 66, of Bowling Green, passed away April 1, 2013, at The Medical Center at 8:07 a.m. Bob was born in Louisville on Dec. 10, 1946.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert N. Adams III and Annabell Burnett Adams.
Bob was a regional supervisor for the EPA Division of Water for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, where he was a member of both the choir and handbell choir and Brotherhood of St. Andrews. He was a graduate of Louisville Butler High School and Western Kentucky University. Bob was the chain master for Bowling Green High School and Western Kentucky football for more than 35 years. He was a member of the Aeolian Lodge No. 51 I.O.O.F.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Karen Durbin Adams; two daughters, Anita “Annie” A. Britt (Jonathan) of Scottsville and Bethaney Kay Adams (fiancée Brett Curry) of Louisville; and one sister, Judy A. Adams of Bowling Green. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 1215 State St. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, 820 Lovers Lane, and Saturday at 9 a.m. until time of services at Christ Episcopal Church.
