Lola Francis Hawks, 72, of Bowling Green, passed away at 5 a.m. April 6, 2013, at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and member of Combs Lane Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late William Preston Sullivan and Della Mae Wilson Sullivan and the wife of the late Albert M. “Sam” Hawks. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Hawks.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home, with burial in Hawks Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Vida; four sons, Steve Hawks and Michael Hawks, both of Bowling Green, Roger Dale Hawks of Chalybeate and Darrell Hawks of Port Richey, Fla.; two daughters, Andrea Burke of Bowling Green and Anita Campbell of Smiths Grove; a brother, Gerald Sullivan of Wingfield; a sister, Louise Duvall of Clarksville, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
