Jack Edwin Weber, 79, of Bowling Green, peacefully passed at Vanderbilt Medical Center on May 4, 2013, with his loving family by his side.
Jack was born Jan. 8, 1934, in Auburn, Ind., to John and Mary Ellen Weber. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Ruth Annette Abbey. They spent most of their lives in Galesburg, Mich., where they opened their home and hearts to more than 300 foster children for 25 years. During that time, they adopted and raised five children of their own. He also worked for Country Mark in Battle Creek, Mich., for more than 35 years until retiring in 1998 to his home in Bowling Green.

Jack was loving, hardworking and cherished his wife and family. They meant everything to him. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 53 years, Ruth Abbey Weber.
Carrying on his love are his son, Mike Weber (Stacy) of Kalamazoo, Mich.; four daughters, Marjorie Weber of Lansing, Mich., Tamara Wayne (David) of Galesburg, Mich., Victoria Weber of Flint, Mich., and Stacy Weber-Kinnarney (Bruce) of Bowling Green; 12 grandchildren, Dustin, Ashley, Kristen, Joshua, Jacob, Cody, Madison, Noah, Isis, Makayla, Markeysa and Alexis; two great-grandchildren, Jared and Jayden; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 11 a.m.
