Dora Mae Beckham Richey, Morristown, Tenn., formerly of Smiths Grove, met her Lord and Savior at 3:20 p.m. May 5, 2013, surrounded by her sons.

The Warren County native was born Dec. 18, 1928, and was lovingly known to her family and friends as “Mama Mae.” She was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Warren County, was a homemaker and retired seamstress from Union Underwear “The Derby” in Bowling Green. She was the daughter of Leslie Beckham and Elizabeth Kate VanDora Tabor Beckham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Milton Boone Richey, and daughter, Sheila Gay Richey Orange.

Survivors include sons, Larry Richey and wife Mary-Garnett of Scottsville, Steven Richey and wife Renai of Morristown and James Richey and special friend Tina Mingee of Knoxville, Tenn.; son-in-law, Michael Orange of Simpsonville; sister, Louise Payne of Glasgow; brother-in-law, Roland Richey and wife Geneva of Smiths Grove; seven grandchildren, Joe B. Richey and Michael Richey of Morristown, Stephanie Nester and husband Dean of Greenfield, Ind., Gabrielle White and husband Richard of Dallas, Erica Orange Stender Duhr and husband Robert of Shelbyville, Daneile Orange Steele and husband JR of Fisherville and Bert Richey and wife Jaime of Independence; nine great-grandchildren, Eli, Samuel and Gabriel Nester of Greenfield, Ind., Bradley Stender of Shelbyville, Jonathan and Catherine White of Dallas, Jenna and Bailey Richey of Independence and Thomas Steele of Fisherville; sisters-in-law, Lois Beckham of Smiths Grove and Jean Beckham of Whites Town, Ind.; and extended family members.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday until the 1 p.m. Celebration of Life service at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove chapel. Internment will be in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery
