Erdine Smith Johnson, 88, of Bowling Green, passed away May 7, 2013, at the Greenwood Nursing Home in Bowling Green.

Erdine was born May 6, 1925, in Butler County, to the late Girlie Lee and Dewey Mae Ingram Smith. She was a faithful member of Lehman Ave. Church of Christ in Bowling Green, homemaker and beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Pauline Smith, Eva Forsythe and Margie Vance.

Erdine Smith Johnson is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ross Johnson of Bowling Green; daughter, Susan Dunker and her husband, Jack, of Louisville; son Alan Johnson of Murray; grandsons David and Scott Dunker of Louisville and Andy Johnson and his wife, Lori, of Murray; granddaughter Cheryl Crick and her husband, Keith, of Murray; great-granddaughter Madison Johnson of Murray; brother Dewey Lee Smith Sr. and his wife, Helen, of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. with Bro. Michael D. Greene officiating. Burial will be in the Dan Johnson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
