Juanita Luttrell Minton, 85, of Sweeden, passed away May 9, 2013, in Brownsville. The Edmonson County native was born July 25, 1927, to the late Chester and Zora Davis Luttrell and was the devoted wife of the late Percy Minton.

She was a retired teacher with the Edmonson County Board of Education, a member of the Edmonson County Homemakers, the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, the Rev. Grant Minton (Tonda) of Auburn; a daughter, Beth Vincent (Donnie) of Sweeden; five grandchildren, Matt Minton (Michelle) of Sweeden, Brandon Minton (MacKenzie) of Columbia, Katlyn C. Vincent of Sweeden, Adam Clark (Mariah) of Hopkinsville and Andrew Clark of Louisville; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon Matthew Minton, Branson Knight Minton and Kinley Grace Clark; and a brother, Walton Howard Luttrell of Punta Gorda, Fla.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Ashley.

Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel. The funeral service is at 3 p.m. Sunday at Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in the Sweeden Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
