David F. Carter passed away on July 5, 2013, in Orange Park, Fla. He was the son of the late George and Mary Lee Carter.
He was born on Nov. 28, 1941, in Longwood, Fla. David was a former truck driver for Brewer Trucking in Orlando. He loved to laugh and make people laugh. A loving son, brother and father, he was also a favorite uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He loved the game of golf, both to play and to watch. He was preceded in death by a son, Bryant D. Carter of Bowling Green; a brother, George “Jack” Carter of Forest City, Fla.; and a sister, Edna Hopkins of Orange City, Fla.
Survivors include two sons, David L. Carter (Debbie) of Bowling Green and Robert T. Carter (Linda) of Bowling Green; their mother, Nancy S. Tabor of Bowling Green; one daughter, Tina M. Carter of Eustis, Fla.; two sisters, Judy Carter of Orange Park, Fla., and Margaret McBride of Sanford, Fla.; one brother, Robbie Carter of Lake Helen, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Carter, Paul Carter, David W. Carter (Kelsey), Amber Carter, Michael Carter and Thomas Carter, all of Bowling Green, and Anna Carter of Streamwood, Ill.; and four great-grandchildren, Tristen Carter, Noah Carter, Syler Carter and Sawyer Carter, all of Bowling Green. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at a later date for friends and family.
