Thomas “T.O.” Owen Hampton, 78, of Floyds Knobs, Ind., formerly of Morgantown, passed away July 9, 2013, at his residence.
T.O. was born March 11, 1935, in Butler County to the late William Paul and Margaret Haskell Penick Hampton. He was a retired state government office manager and a member of First Southern Baptist of Floyds Knobs.

He is survived by his wife, Florence A. Hampton of Floyds Knobs; three sons, Thomas Owen Hampton Jr. and wife Cheri of Paducah, William Edward Hampton and wife Elly of Maceo and David Scott Hampton and wife Dianna of Paducah; two daughters, Carol Girkey and husband Mark of Frankfort and Karen Isaacs and husband Shawn of Floyds Knobs; nine grandchildren, Sean Taylor Hampton of Lexington, Chad Walker Hampton of San Antonio, Joshua Trae Hampton of Paducah, Christopher William Hampton and wife LeAndrea of Nashville, Michael Edward Hampton of Maceo, Kimberly Anne Hampton of Bowling Green, Kevin Daviess Girkey of Frankfort, Molly Shae Isaacs of Floyds Knobs and William Shawn Isaacs of Floyds Knobs; a great-grandson, Maddex; a brother, William Paul “Bill” Hampton Jr. and wife Kay of Morgantown; and three nephews, David, Mike and Steve Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Greg Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday.
