Funeral Home: Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel
Robert Timothy (Tim) Lewis, 52, of Dallas, Ga., formerly of Smiths Grove, died at 10:30 a.m. July 7, 2013, from injuries suffered in a boating accident on Altoona Lake in Bartow County, Ga.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Robert Leon Lewis and Brenda Richey Belcher and her husband, Gerald, who survives. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mike and Ina Lewis. Tim worked as a dispatcher/shop foreman at Day’s Chevrolet in Acworth, Ga. Next to his love for his family, fishing was his passion.
Survivors include his wife, Darla Pizzolato Lewis; daughter, DeSara Lewis and her children, Kaleb and Isabella; daughter, Brittney Hathorn and her fiance Kavon Ghassemi and their son, Jax; one son, Dakota Pitre; his parents, Brenda and Gerald “Jerry” Belcher; three brothers- and sisters-in-law, Todd and Sheri Lewis, Gary and Sherry Belcher, Gerald and Debbie Belcher; maternal grandparents, Roland and Geneva Richey; two nephews, Cole J. Lewis and Tyler Potter; three nieces, Madison E. Lewis, Caitlin Belcher and Anne Thomas Belcher; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
