The Rev. Carl B. Haddix, 86, of Bowling Green, died at 12:20 p.m. July 21, 2013, in Edmonson County.
He was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Elkins, W.Va., to the late Ralph and Amy Folk Haddix. He was also preceded in death by his son, Brennis Dean Haddix; and a brother, Terrill Haddix. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Conner Haddix of Bowling Green. He was a retired Nazarene minister of 35 years, having served in Indiana, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia. He served during World War II in the Army Air Corps, stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
He is also survived by a daughter, Denise Cossel and her husband, Verlin, of Bowling Green; three grandsons, Brandon Baader and his wife, Christina, of Bowling Green, Brian Baader and his wife, Courtney, of Kodiak, Alaska, and Nathan Baader and his wife, Ashley, of South Lebanon, Ohio; a great-granddaughter, Jacy Baader; six brothers; and a sister.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens.
