Peggy Madison Meredith, 55, passed away July 25, 2013, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky surrounded by family and friends. She was a 1976 graduate of Warren Central High School. She was the human resource officer at Bank of Edmonson County, a member of the Edmonson County Anti-Drug Coalition and a member, Sunday school secretary and treasurer of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church.
The Glasgow native was the daughter of the late Emory E. Madison and Betty Smith Madison and the wife of Jerry L. Meredith.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Meredith; two sons, Michael Lee Meredith and Justin and his wife, Donetta Meredith; her mother, Betty Smith Madison; grandson Eli Meredith, all of Brownsville; one brother, Keith Madison and his wife, Sue, of Brandenburg; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Alexander Cemetery in Brownsville.
