Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel
J. Richard Hughes, 66, of Bowling Green, passed away Aug. 16, 2013, at 7:15 a.m. at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
Richard was born on Jan. 8, 1947, in Louisville. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Danielle Marie Hughes; and his parents, Joseph Lee and Edna Rudell Truitt Hughes.
Richard was a retired project manager for Green Mechanical Co. and a member of Hillvue Heights Church. He was a devoted member of BG Euro Classic Car Club, and he was the Southern Kentucky Representative for the KY Porsche Club of America. He especially loved and was devoted to his wife, daughters, brother and family.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Toni Hughes; a daughter, Jenni Druen (Brandon) of Bowling Green; and a brother, Bob Hughes (Sharon) of Indianapolis. He was also survived by a sister-in-law, Cecilia Winebrenner (late husband Earl); two brothers-in-law, Dan Eberenz (Suzie) and Rick Eberenz (Monica), all of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Monday at 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
