Amanda Knight Lanier, 23, of Bowling Green, passed away Aug. 12, 2013, due to a complication from a bone marrow transplant.
A private service will be held for the immediate family in September.
Amanda was born in Columbia, S.C., on Sept. 7, 1989. She graduated from Tift County High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga.
She is survived by her parents, Dr. Randall and Kathy Lanier of Bowling Green; a brother, Martin Lanier, and a sister, Callie Lanier, both of Valdosta, Ga.; a grandmother, Mabel Martin of Madison, Tenn.; as well as her furry friends of comfort including Harley, Pepper, Izzy and Honey Bee.

The family of Amanda Lanier wishes to thank the staff of the University of Minnesota’s Amplatz’s Children’s Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Kidney Center and Intensive Care Unit for their superior care given during her stay there.
