William Issac “Dan” McDonald, 87, of Woodburn, died at the VA Hospital in Nashville on Aug. 26, 2013, surrounded by his family.
The Warren County native was the son of the late Willie and Jane McDonald. He was retired from Holley Carburetor.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances McDonald of Woodburn; four daughters, Donna Meador, Jeannette Carter (Lewie), Cathy Cox (James) and Karen McDaneld; five sons, Danny McDonald (Peggy), William E. McDonald, Terry McDonald (Janice), Gary McDonald and Kenny McDonald (Vickie); 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy McDonald, and a son, Rickey McDonald. He also is survived by a sister, Eunice Alford, and a brother, Bob McDonald. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bethel and Tob McDonald.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at J.C. Kirby Funeral Home, Broadway Chapel. Visitation also begins at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Woodburn Baptist Church, with services to be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
