Holine Cherry, 86, of Horse Cave, passed away Sept. 17, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown after a brief illness.
Mrs. Cherry was a native of Butler County. Holine was a 66-year resident of Horse Cave, where she was the former co-owner of Fashion Fabrics, a homemaker, and a member of the Horse Cave United Methodist Church. Holine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Cherry was preceded in death by her parents, Hollie and Ella Embry Raymer; two brothers, Travis and Percy Raymer; a sister, Aline Cherry; brother-in-law Bill Cherry; and two nieces, Debbie Cherry and Ann Raymer.
Mrs. Cherry is survived by her husband of 68 years, H.M. Cherry. She is also survived by her son, Jerry Cherry and his wife, Mary Louise, and a daughter, Vickie Bunch and her husband, Larry, all of Horse Cave. Other survivors, which lovingly referred to her as Ninnie, include her grandchildren, Holly Taylor and husband Chris, and Amy Antle and husband Garrett, of Bardstown, Carrie Bunch of Horse Cave, Graham Cherry of Lexington and Kyle Bunch of Bowling Green. Five great-grandchildren also survive, Madison, Jacob and Ellie Taylor and Knox and Isabella Antle. Additionally, Mrs. Cherry is survived by a first cousin, Jeanetta Lawrence and several nieces and nephews, including Garrett Cherry and Alana Cherry Falcon, both of Texas.
Funeral services for Holine Cherry will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Winn Funeral Home and after 8 a.m. Saturday.
