Clessie W. Garmon, 82, of Bowling Green, passed away at his residence Sept. 23, 2013.

He is the son of the late Omar and Lena Garmon. Clessie was a loving husband, father and Papa. He attended Living Hope Baptist Church, retired from Holley Carburetor after 41 years, was an avid Western Kentucky University fan and enjoyed watching baseball, basketball and football.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Imogene Garmon of Bowling Green; two sons, Dwight Garmon of Browning and Tim Garmon of Bowling Green; two sisters, Phoebe Goodman and her husband Jimmy of Fountain Run and Norma Thomas of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two brothers, Bob Garmon and his wife Carolyn of Norwood, N.C., and Perry Garmon and his wife Jane of Scottsville; grandchildren, Kelly Garmon Haynes and her husband Tate of Bowling Green, Luke Garmon of Rockfield and Jennifer Garmon of Bowling Green; several nieces, nephews and friends and his pet Pomeranian “Kasey.” He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Garmon and Frank Garmon, and a sister, Lois Garmon Wright.

Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at Bowing Green Gardens.
