Katherine Butler Lawrence, 77, of Smiths Grove, died Sept. 22, 2013, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.
She was born in Finney, the daughter of the late Leonard B. and Melissia G. DeVasher Butler and the wife of the late William “Bill” Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker and member of the Hanging Fork Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Van Lawrence and his wife, Tina, Ricky Lawrence and Todd Lawrence and his wife, Judy, all of Smiths Grove; a daughter, Tammie Mahaney and her husband, Terry, of Smiths Grove; seven grandchildren, Lauren Shirley, Cory Mahaney, Hunter Lawrence, Tyler Lawrence, Brittany Chandler, Denley and Nick Finley; seven great-grandchildren, Jillian Shirley, Skylar and Logan Lamastus, Jameson, Breydn, Levi and Kholey Finley; a sister, Marjorie Atkinson of Bowling Green; a niece, Lisa Lancaster and her husband, Jeff; and a great-niece, Bailee Lancaster.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Butler.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hanging Fork Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
