Billie Jean Young, 81, of Bowling Green, passed away Sept. 27, 2013, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Warren County native was born July 11, 1932, to the late E.B. Young Sr. and to Eva J. Young, who survives. She is also survived by three brothers, Bobby N. Young, Maurice Young and Marcus R. (Judy) Young; one sister, Jonell Young Cooke; one son, Sammy (Tabitha) Neighbors; and one daughter, Jo Ann (Eddie) Morgan. She has nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands James D. Neighbors and V R Young, and one brother, Ernest B Young Jr. Billie retired from Kroger after working with them for 37 years.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel, with burial in Mount Pleasant Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
