Arthur Woodcock, 86, of Bee Spring, departed this life Sept. 27, 2013, at his residence. The Edmonson County native was born April 16, 1927, to the late John Melvin and Addie Ellen Salings Woodcock. As a young man, he married his devoted wife of 62 years, Stella Farris Woodcock, who survives him.
He was a Baptist and worked in maintenance with the Kentucky State Highway Department.
He is survived by his loving and caring family that includes his wife, Stella; one son, Dallas Woodcock and his companion, Diane, of Bee Spring; one daughter, Kathy Rich (Terry) of Bee Spring; nine grandchildren, Brian Woodcock (Dana) of Bee Spring, Craig Board of Bowling Green, Melissa Hennion (Kenny) of Cedar Springs, Shaye Bailey of Bowling Green, Whitney Bohn (David) of Louisville, Kyle Gott of Bowling Green, Adam Schultz and his fiancee, Jennifer, of Louisville, Matt Rich (Ashley) of Bowling Green and Scott Woodcock of Bowling Green; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice Lewis (Brownie) of Bowling Green. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Doris Gott.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel.
Burial will be in Vincent Cemetery, Bee Spring, with Bro. Jerry Spainhoward officiating.
