Kompanik, Linda

A Celebration of Life memorial service for Linda Kompanik, who served as Logan County Public Library director from 1995, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the library. Ms. Kompanik died on Aug. 28, 2013, in Bowling Green from complications associated with treatment for cancer.

The service is open to the public. The library will not provide regular checkout or computer services that day.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Tamara Dillard, and grandson, Aidan, of Bowling Green; her parents, Harold and Johnnie Kelly of Naples, Fla., formerly of Hopkinsville; two brothers, Tom and Sherri, also of Naples, and Gene of Knoxville, Tenn.; and her sister, Janice Kelly of Clarksville, Tenn. She is also survived by two nephews, Parker and Tanner Kelly of Naples. A niece, Ashley Kelly, preceded her in death.

A memorial service was held Sept. 14, 2013, in Naples, where she was laid to rest by her family.

The family has requested that memorial donations be directed to the Logan County Public Library.
