Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel
Jean Thompson Dorris, 87, of Bowling Green, entered into rest Oct. 11, 2013, at Greenview Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Russellville, she was the daughter of the late Cecil B. and Mary Richardson Thompson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Thompson Morriss of Russellville.
Jean is survived by her son, David Thompson Dorris of Nashville; two grandsons, Walker Thompson Dorris and Carson Zimmerman Dorris of Nashville; and great-nephew Julien Morriss of Richmond, Va.
Jean was a charter member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Jean enjoyed her Sunday school class and being a part of Bowling Green Retirement Village.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eastwood Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel and from 10 a.m. until the funeral service time at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eastwood Baptist Church.
