Funeral Home: Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville
Joyce A. Priddy, 74, of Hodgenville, formerly of Louisville, passed away, Oct. 22, 2013, at her residence.
She was a former secretary for the Jefferson County School Board, a former employee of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company, former director of the daycare center at the First Baptist Church, Hodgenville where she was also a member, and former owner and operator of Lollipop Lane Daycare in Hodgenville.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Priddy; her parents, Virgil and Maida Kitchens Summers; a sister, Dorothy Hansford; and three brothers, Frank, Donald and Charles Summers.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie (Tooter) Shipley of Bowling Green, Tammy (Sam) Salada of Cookeville, Tenn., and Anita (Kelly) Laha of Hodgenville; four grandsons, Zachary Salada, Taylor Shipley, Ethan Laha and John Salada; a sister, Betty (Raymond) Froedge of Jeffersonville, Ind.; and an honorary daughter and longtime friend, Mildred Laha.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, with Sam Salada officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
