Jessie Grider Mitchell, 81, of Smiths Grove, died Oct. 22, 2013, at The Medical Center.

The Lyon County native was a daughter of the late Louie and Annie Mae Haley Duncan, wife of the late Arnold Elton Mitchell and was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Talley, and grandson Tracey Talley. She was owner/operator of Coach & Table Restaurant and a member of Richardsville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her nine children, Glenda Hester (Leon), Bobby Forsythe (Jennifer), Kathy Wright (Howard), Jerry Forsythe (Debby), Sherri Jacobi, Ronnie Forsythe (Dawn), Missy Holder (Todd), Joe Cobb and Cindy Grider Stinnett (Lee); 18 grandchildren, Billy Ray Talley, Stephanie Hammons, Andrea Dunn, Jason Forsythe, Elijah Forsythe, Jeffrey Windham, Jeremy Forsythe, Mandy Dobson, Chad Jacobi, Casey Wright, Candace Forsythe, Heather Forsythe, Josh Forsythe, Nicholas Forsythe, Christopher Keith, Megan Keith, Joey Cobb and Addison Lee Stinnett; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Marshall Duncan; a sister, Anna Lois Murray (Leonard); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery No. 2. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
