Anna Louise Daugherty Adams died Nov. 30, 2013, in Bowling Green. She was born Sept. 30, 1943, to Lester and Hazel Daugherty. Anna was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She brought joy to all who knew her with her warmth, kindness and endearing laugh. She was a past member of New Liberty Baptist Church and a member at Riverview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Arthur Adams, along with children Lora Brumley (Rob), Jerri Purkerson (Kevin), Carmen Geralds (Thomas Hodge), Jeanie Adams, Jim Adams (Mandy), Claire Hunt (Ray) and their respective children and grandchildren.
Anna is also survived by her sisters, Vernell Buchanon (Frank), Reda Bray (Phillip), Vickie Grant (Robert) and Kathleen Embry; and brothers, David Daugherty (Sandy) and Bobby Daugherty (Terri); along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Claude, Claudie, James Claude, Tinkle and Clayton Daugherty.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Monday at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
