Annette May Velliquette, 93, of Owensboro, died Jan. 5, 2014, at 6:14 p.m. at the Hospice Center of Southern Kentucky.
She was born in New Albany, Ind., on May 9, 1920, to the late Chester and Mary Gravier. She is the widow of Grover Velliquette. She was a homemaker, a beautician and a Baptist . Her family was her life. She was cared for by her daughter and son-in-law, along with their two daughters, Sarah Shouse and Rachel Shouse.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Shouse and her husband, John, of Bowling Green and Charlotte “Lonie” Alexander of Toledo, Ohio; her three sons, George Misson and wife Ronnie of Manorville, N.Y., James Misson and wife Linda of Toledo, Ohio, and Tom Misson and wife Judy of Lima, Ohio; her brother, Carl Gravier of St. Louis; her sister, Angeline Hudson of Westland, Mich.; her 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at J.C. Kirby and Son, Broadway chapel, Funeral service is at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Donations may be made in Mrs. Velliquette’s memory to the Hospice Center of Southern Kentucky.
