Julius Poko Lewis, 87, of Morgantown, passed away Jan. 28, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Lewis was born March 3, 1926, in Warren County, to the late Millard and Maude Glasscock Lewis. He was a World War II Naval veteran and was a member of the Methodist faith. Poko was a retired chief Inspector for Holley Carburetor and loved farming and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Julius Poko Lewis is survived by his wife of 68 years of marriage, Ollie McCoy Lewis of Morgantown; a sister-in-law, Beverly Lewis of Bowling Green; a brother-in-law, Waylon McCoy of Morgantown; a nephew, David Lewis of Elizabethtown; a great-nephew, George Lewis of Elizabethtown; several more nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home, with Bro. Bill Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
