Lorene Abell Royster, 90, of Henderson, died at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 29, 2014, at The St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.
She was a member of Audubon Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 27 years. Along with her husband, Gerald, Lorene owned and operated Royster’s Radio and Television Repair Service in Henderson for 43 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Gerald W. Royster, who died July 1, 1998; and her parents, Robert Otho and Sarah Claudie Powell Abell.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice R. Avery of Bowling Green; two sisters, Nancy A. Clark and her husband, Bob, and Emalene A. Spaulding, both of Henderson; two grandsons, Ellis H. Westerfield and his wife, Darla, and Colby L. Westerfield, both of Bowling Green; three great-grandchildren, Austin H. Westerfield, Holden C. Westerfield and Alyssa M. Westerfield, all of Bowling Green; and a great-great-granddaughter, Paislyn A. Westerfield of Bowling Green.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Reverend Andy Weaver will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice in Henderson or Audubon Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Ellis H. Westerfield, Colby L. Westerfield, Austin H. Westerfield, Holden C. Westerfield and Ben Smith.
