Funeral Home: Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home
Mary Lee Chapman, 83, of Keysburg Road, Allensville, passed away March 30, 2014, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
She was a Todd County native born May 15, 1930, to Charles Edward Lawrence and Nell Scarborough Lawrence. She attended Bowling Green Business College, was a teacher’s aide for Olmstead School and a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church.
She is survived by mother Nell S. Lawrence of Russellville; husband of 63 years, Thomas Al Chapman; five daughters, Donna Allen (Rick) of Russellville, Brenda Strickler (Bud) of Bowling Green, Darlene Watkins (Bobby) of Olmstead, Mary Sue Tarter (David) of Bowling Green and Tommie Gail Bennett (Mark) of Russellville; a sister, Charlene Webb of Pemberville, Ohio; grandsons, pallbearers Travis Strickler, Ryan Watkins, Tommy Watkins, Sam Tarter, Riley Watkins and Steven Bennett; granddaughters Andrea Bennett, Molly Tarter, Catherine Givens and Christi Messer; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mary Lee Chapman are at 11 a.m. today at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home, with Bro. Josh Tharpe and Bro. Jimmy Chapman officiating with burial in Belmont Cemetery. Visitation is in progress until the funeral hour today at the funeral home.
