Cassidy Dubree, 20, of Bowling Green, went to meet the Lord on June 12, 2014, in Pittsburgh after a lengthy battle with cystic fibrosis.
The Warren County native was a student at Warren East High School, where she graduated with honors and played softball and soccer. She raced and won in the soapbox derby and attended Bowling Green Tech. She also received the Tom Leach (voice of University of Kentucky basketball) All-Resilient athlete award. She attended Smiths Grove Baptist Church and Hillvue Heights Church. She was outgoing and athletic. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Jack Dubree; and a cousin, Chloe James.
Survivors include her parents, Steven Dubree and Tammy Elliott; her loving brother, Austin Dubree; maternal grandmother Linda Woolley; paternal grandmother Shelvie Dubree; aunts Lisa Dubree Goss (Rick) and Cammie Howton (Colby); cousins Devin and Danielle Goss, Carley Goss, Connor Bowles, Keira James, Kayleigh James and Kyiah Howton; a great uncle, Ted Dubree; and a host of friends.
Funeral is at noon Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
