Doris Jean Brown Webb of Franklin passed away peacefully Sunday, July 20, 2014, after a five-year battle with cancer in St. Simons Island, Ga. Leaving behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Brenda Fields of St. Simons Island, Ga.; her stepsons, Ron Webb (Alison) of Emerald Isle, N.C., and Vance Webb (Debbie) of Clarkson; her grandson, Jeffrey Fields; great-granddaughter, Kaylee of Bowling Green; granddaughter, Jennifer (Stan) Robinson; great-grandchildren, Madden, John Porter & Stiles of St. Simons Island, Ga.
She is also survived by sister, Sandy Rogers; brother, Joe Brown (Dot), both of Franklin; uncle Ray Brown (Barbara) of Bowling Green; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. She was a devoted mother and sister and adoring “Nana.” Doris was a very caring person who before thinking of herself was always concerned for the welfare of others, especially her family. She took great pride in her family and devoted much time and energy to them. Her family loved her very much and will miss her greatly. A celebration of her life will be at 3 p.m. Aug. 3, 2014, at Bloch Chapel, Fairview Cemetery, in Bowling Green.
