Iron Skillet's Braised Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup Chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 5 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 Apples, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1 tbsp Red currant jelly

Directions

Sauté onion in butter. Add cabbage, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and apples. Simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in currant jelly and serve hot.
