David Arms' Apple Pie


  • 5 tart apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp apple pie spice
  • 2 T flour
  • 4 T butter, softened
  • 2 pie shells


Mix dry ingredients well. Add apples to filling and coat well. Line pie pan with pie shell and fill with coated apples. Spread butter on top of apples, then cover with remaining pie shell. Fold edges of shells together and press into pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
