Vincent's Bagels and Bites No Fail Cobbler


  • 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • Canned peaches in heavy syrup or fruit of choice (must contain syrup or
    fruit juice)


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 13x9 baking dish. In medium
bowl, combine sugar and flour and mix well. Add milk and whisk until well
blended. Pour batter mixture over melted butter in baking dish, DO NOT
STIR. Pour desired fruit with syrup or juice on top of mixture in baking
dish, again DO NOT STIR. Place as is into oven and bake for 30 minutes, or
until golden brown. As crust begins to brown, remove from oven, sprinkle
with sugar and then continue baking until golden brown. Best served when
