Old School Lemon Pie

Ingredients

  • 9 inch deep dish pre baked pie shell
  • 1 & 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup lemon juice( according to taste)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cup water
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon butter

    Directions

    Mix sugar, cornstarch,flour,water.

    Cook until thick & bubbly remove from heat.

    Gradually stir one cup of mixture into eggs yolks.

    Return all to sauce pan bring to boil.

    Cook for about two minutes until thick.

    Remove from heat add butter & lemon juice.

    Mix pour into pie shell top with meringue or cool &top with cool whip.
