1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
8 ounce container small mozzarella cheese balls, drained, cut in half and divided
24 (4-inch) wooden skewers (wooden picks may be substituted)
3 slices thinly sliced deli ham
1/3 cup light balsamic vinaigrette
6 thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Thread 1 tomato half, 1 piece of cheese, and another tomato half onto each skewer. Place skewers in a shallow serving dish.
Stack the sliced ham and then slice length-wise into 4 strips. Thread one tomato half, wrap a strip of ham with 1 piece of cheese and thread. Place skewers in a shallow serving dish.
Drizzle the skewers with the salad dressing and top with the thinly sliced basil leaves, salt and pepper. Serve in a decorative glass or bowl. Make 24 skewers. (Depending on the size of the tomatoes you may be able to make more.)
