Fresh Cranberry Salad

Ingredients

12 oz fresh cranberries
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 pound red grapes, halved and seed removed
1 pint heavy cream, whipped
1 cup chopped, toasted nuts

Directions

Chop nuts coarsely, spread out on baking sheet and toast at 350
degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Chop Cranberries through food processor using coarse blade. Stir
in sugar and let stand overnight.

Next morning, drain well, pressing lightly to remove excess juice.
(reserve the juice for another use like in fruit punch.) Cut grapes
in half and remove seeds if necessary. Add grapes and nuts to
well-drained cranberry mixture. (This may be done ahead) and
refrigerate.

Just before serving, fold the whipped cream into the cranberry
mixture. Serve immediately.
