Glasgow Exhibit Celebrates African Americans in the Military

GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) -- The South Central Kentucky Cultural Center is celebrating black history month by displaying history of African Americans in the military.

The exhibit that is currently on display holding photographs and military memorabilia that is being loaned from members of the community.

These stories from Allen, Barren, Hart, Metcalfe and Monroe counties are all for the public to learn how African Americans have made an impact through all of the American wars.

"This center cannot function without other folks help if they contribute pictures photos and things like that then it helps makes this more about everyone than it would be about just one individual," said Chief Master Sgt. Joe Trigg after explaining the importance of community history,

Chief Master Sergeant, Joe Trigg donates uniforms from working in 54 different countries over his 28 years with the air force.

The exhibit will be displayed until the middle of march.
