Alabama defensive lineman commits to WKU

The Western Kentucky football program received a verbal commitment Saturday from Devin Bell.

Bell is a 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior at Goshen High School in Goshen, Ala. where he plays defensive end, basketball and runs track. He reportedly holds scholarship offers from WKU, Louisville, Purdue, Southern Mississippi and Tulane.

Bell is the 18th member of the 2018 signing class for WKU, a class now ranked by Scout and 247 as the No. 1 in Conference USA. He joins athlete Trevez Traynor of Doss High School, wide receiver Kawan Williams of Savannah, Ga., defensive back Shannon Bishop of Pleasure Ridge Park High School, linebacker Mario Wright of Flassmoor, Ill., defensive tackle Lichon Terrell of Hogansville, Ga., defensive tackle Deporess Schletty of Alpharetta, Ga., athlete Maurquel Dillard of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., offensive lineman Sam Stovall of Chattanooga, Tenn., linebacker Tre Leslie of Tucker, Ga., wide receiver of Alpharetta, Ga., defensive back Jayden Patterson Lawrenceville, Ga., offensive lineman Troy Ingle of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., defensive back Malik Occiur of Oakland Park, Fla., offensive lineman Gunner Britton of Conway, S.C., defensive back Bryand Rincher of Sunrise, Fla., defensive lineman Nazir Sy of Norcross, Ga., and defensive back Arthur Brathwaite of Flanagan, Fla.
