BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO)--- Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear says he appeared in court this week for the case between Western Kentucky University and the College Heights Herald newspaper.
WKU sued its student newspaper in February over the release of its records dealing with sexual harassment by university employees.
Beshear says the university tried to slow down the process but his team strongly opposed it.
"Everyday that goes by, if there is not accountability for how the university is investigating sexual assault cases, is a day where a victim might not get the justice that they deserve."
According to the lawsuit, six people were found in violation during the investigation, they either retired or resigned from the positions.
