Officials release identity of body recovered from vehicle found in Drakes Creek

FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) -- UPDATE: The Simpson County Sheriff's Department has identified the occupant of the submerged vehicle in Drakes Creek, as 69-year-old Kenneth Boren of Frankin, Kentucky.

No other details have been released.

According to the Simpson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a vehicle submerged in Drakes Creek on Saturday.

They say it was off of the low water crossing on Kenny Perry Drive.

Simpson County Fire and Rescue says one person was in the vehicle and they were able to recover him, but he was deceased.

Officials are not identifying the man until family has been notified. The sheriff's office is continuing the investigation.
