BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Bowling Green's City Manager, Kevin DeFebbo, announced he will retire after 12 years on the job.

With his wife Barbara at his side, DeFebbo reflected on working for and with three mayors, 11 city commissioners, and hundreds of employees.

He says there are several reasons for his imminent retirement, and he also plans to devote some time to himself, after a long career of serving others.

DeFebbo, who was previously a county manager in New York, was hired as Bowling Green's City Manager in late 2005.

March 1 will be his last day at City Hall.
