BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A Barren County man is sentenced in federal court in Bowling Green to 100 months in prison for theft of firearms.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Eric Glen Stockton of Cave City burglarized Horton's Guns in October of 2014 stealing eight guns worth almost $6,500..

He pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, and entered an Alford Plea to stealing a firearm from a licensed dealer. That means he does not admit his guilt to that charge, but acknowledges there is enough evidence for a jury to convict him.

Stockton must pay restitution for the stolen guns and will not be eligible for parole.
