ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) -- Campers at the Center for Courageous Kids got soaked today, but it wasn't because of the rain. Instead, it was because of the Special Olympics Swimming tournament.
The Allen County Special Olympics hosted the tournament where all kids and adults with special needs were able to compete and have some fun in all styles of swimming.
Parent Sherry Cook said, "It gets my child involved in activities, and it gets him to socialize with his peers. The activities are really good for him. It's his exercise and he loves it."
The tournament went from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Families were also able to enjoy a meal together in the CCK dining hall, and other camp-like activities after the tournament was over.
