After a near-record high of 91° Tuesday, some relief from the heat is coming. A front that's been stalled over the Midwest the past several days eases southward into Kentucky by Wednesday. This increases the chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms by mid-week. More disturbances moving our way will keep the pattern unsettled into the weekend. As abundant Gulf moisture moves in, heavy rainfall is possible with some thunderstorms. We may catch a break in the unsettled weather early in the weekend before a new system arrives with more shower and storm chances to start next week.
