BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Western Kentucky University Political Engagement Project hosted the "#TopTheVote" event at Downing Student Union.
Students and faculty were able to get information on a number of different candidates, both in-state and presidential.
The Political Engagement Project's goal is to encourage young voters to vote.
"This is really about their future," says director Dr. Saundra Ardrey. "Historically, young people have one of the lowest turnout rates, and so we're trying to make Western Kentucky University go against that, getting young people to vote, to make the decisions on some of the economic issues, some of the social issues that are going to be so important for them."
The presidential debate was the final one of the election cycle. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
