BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Eclipse day is quickly approaching. Many have been preparing for the big day, even the medical field.
Bowling Green ER doctor, Bart Spurlin MD, and his staff feel they are properly prepared and ready for whatever may come their way.
"I anticipate that both local EMS and the emergency department are well prepared to handle the influx of visitors and any emergencies that might come our way. It's not like it was a surprise event," said Spurlin.
Doctor Spurlin also says that they are expecting more patients as a result of car accidents due to heavy traffic in the region. He suggests that drivers use caution on eclipse day and be aware of other drivers and their surroundings.
