Fatal car vs pedestrian collision in Scottsville

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) -- Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision involving a pedestrian, which occurred on US 31E on Sunday morning.

Police say James Hawks, 42, of Scottsville was operating a 2006 gray Chevrolet Trailblazer, traveling northbound on US 31E at around 3:20 a.m.

Jerry Emery, 68, of Scottsville was crossing US 31E at the same time. The Trailblazer struck Emery who was pronounced dead on the scene by the Allen County Coroner.

Toxicology reports are pending.
