The Bowling Green Hot Rods came back to beat the Fort Wayne TinCaps 2-1 on Tuesday at Bowling Green Ballpark in what was yet another fantastic performance from Josh Fleming.
Fleming pitched seven innings and only allowed two hits and one run while striking out two.
Fleming retired the first 11 batters he faced before Tirso Ornelas hit a solo home run to give Fort Wayne a 1-0 lead.
The Hot Rods waited until the sixth inning to respond when Eleardo Cabrera hit a lead-off single and stole second thanks to some fancy footwork to dodge a tag and pick up the extra 90 feet. Taylor Walls brought him home with another single and the game was tied at 1.
Tthe Hot Rods took their first lead of the game thanks to a solo home run to right field from Devin Davis to make the score 2-1 in the seventh.
Jhonleider Salinas pitched the final two innings of the game and only allowed one walk to pick up his second save of the season. He struck out the last two batters he faced.
The Hot Rods and TinCaps will play a modified doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
