RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) -- A Logan County man is sentenced to 55 years in prison after being found guilty of killing his sister-in-law.
After a week-long trial, Monday a Logan Circuit Court jury found George Walker guilty of murder and tampering with evidence, in the death of Allison Walker in December of 2015.
George admitted to police that he choked Allison and threw her body in a nearby river few days before Christmas of 2015.
Tuesday he was sentenced to 55 years in prison for Allison's murder. The Logan Circuit Court Clerk's office says he will not be eligible for parole until after serving 20 years behind bars.
